About Kevin

The Story Behind the Name:
Kevin was one of the 16 sharks tagged on the Bahamas Research
Expedition in February 2011 with Jim Abernethy’s Scuba
Adventures, Inc. As such, one of the participants aboard was
given the opportunity to name a shark.

Kevin Booker was a volunteer aboard the expedition and the only
non-diving participant. His patience with the long hours onboard
was felt and appreciated by all. Kevin grew up loving sharks,
but drifted away from the oceans as he grew up. Recently he
rediscovered his love for the water and hopes to become SCUBA
certified soon.
