About Mason Paul Williams

The Story Behind the Name: Mason Paul Williams is the adoptive shark of Connie and Les Buechele.

“We named our shark after the surnames of our three daughters’ (Brooke, Heidi, and Brandi) families. With seven grandchildren between them (Caitlin, Claire, Daniel, Patrick, Charlotte, Jackson, and Jonathan), we appreciate the opportunity to learn about the shark in its environment and the global perils to the shark population. We support the goals of SRC to educate the world to be a good steward of its oceans and seas.”
