Name a Tagged Shark
For a small, $25 donation, you can name your own shark and receive the scientific data we collect in the field that is unique to that shark.
You can support our shark research by naming a shark we tag.
When you donate to name a shark, we will tag a shark on your behalf with an identification tag. You will then receive a card with the following information:
The name that you choose!
Species of shark
The unique tag number for that shark
Please follow the instructions below to ensure you receive the information of your named shark! Note: at this time, we can only accept donations from the U.S. and Canada

Under the designated drop-down menu, select the Shark Conservation Program.
Fill in your information and the $25 donation, specifying in the comments sections “Name a Shark”
You must forward the confirmation of your donation to Name.A.Shark@gmail.com in order to receive the scientific data of your named shark.
Some important things to know:
Allow us 2 weeks to process and mail your name a shark card.
Due to nature of working with wild sharks, we cannot take species or gender requests for your named shark. We can assure your that your shark will be unique and special.
We are unable to communicate with others if you are giving this as a gift. Please directly provide us with the name and mailing address of the recipient.
Your donation to the Name a Shark Program allows us to place an identification tag on the shark you named. This donation does not permit tracking the shark online since that requires a satellite tag. To enable tracking a shark via satellite – please see our Adopt A Shark Program.
To get your card, you must email us (firstname.lastname@example.org) confirmation of your donation along with the name of your shark and the mailing address of where you want the card sent.
